The highly anticipated fight between the super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt, and the former undefeated world champion Oscar Valdez, is less than two weeks away from the scheduled date of February 20 at the MGM Grand’s Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both fighters are going through the WBC’s pre-fight weight requirements.

As part of those requirements, the fighters have submitted their 14-day pre-fight weights, showing their great commitment and exceptional professionalism.

Berchelt weighed in at 136-pounds on the nose, while Valdez came in at 136.4-pounds.

Berchelt, 28-years-old, with a record of 37-1 with 33 knockouts, has made six defenses of the title that he won against another tough Mexican boxer, Francisco Vargas, in January 2017, and is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished and dedicated fighters at the weight.

Valdez (27-0, 21 knockouts), 29-years-old, made a decision to move to the super featherweight division in 2019 after a solid campaign at 126-pounds, where he captured the WBO world title and made several defenses.
