The often-postponed fight for the vacant EBU lightweight title between Edis Tatli (32-3) and Gianluca Ceglia (16-3-1-3 KOs) will now, according to the EBU, go ahead on December 11 in Helsinki, Finland.

Tatli vs Ceglia has been on and off several times by now and has been postponed either due to Tatli getting injured or COVID-19.

In the chief-support, Juan Antonio Romero Sanchez (13-0-1) and Cristian Rodriguez (12-5) clash with the vacant EU super bantamweight title at stake.

German cruiser Roman Fress (13-0) defends the WBO I-C title against Italian Luca D’Ortenzi (15-1) in the co-feature to Robin Krasniqi’s defense of the IBO belt against Dominic Boesel, on October 9 in Magdeburg with SES promoting.

Heavyweight prospect and German champion Peter Kadiru (11-0) will defend the title against an opponent to be announced.

Super middleweights Jakob Bank (4-0) and Aku Kanninen (9-0-1) clash for the vacant WBO Youth title November 13 in Kolding, Denmark. This is the chief support to Dina Thorslund’s defence of the WBO bantamweight title against Zulina Munoz.

Former IBF cruiserweight champ Steve Cunningham (30-9-1) travels to Poland and takes on Nikodem Jezewski (20-1-1) on October 22 in Gliwice.

Cunningham returned in April after being out since 2017 and beat Frank Mir in a six rounder.

Jezewski suffered his only loss to Lawrence Okolie and was stopped in the second.

Russian light heavyweight Igor Mikhalkin (24-3) suffered a broken jaw in the second round in his fight for the vacant EBU title on September 10 in Paris against Mathieu Bauderlique (21-1), says his promoter Erol Ceylan.

As it was, Mikhalkin was retired by his corner after the seventh round and didn’t come out for the eighth.

Mikhalkin, 36, was previously 4-0 in France and held the EBU and IBO titles.
