When and why you started boxing:
I started boxing at eight years old. The sport has always run through my family.
Favourite all-time fighter:
Tommy “Hitman” Hearns is my favourite fighter of all time. I like to model my boxing style on him.
Best fight you’ve seen:
Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier in The Thrilla in Manila. It was an unbelievable fight. Both fighters gave it absolutely everything.
Personal career highlight:
My best achievement so far is winning a gold medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2015.
Toughest opponent:
I had a sparring session with Vasiliy Lomachenko. He’s an unreal talent.
Best and worst attributes as a boxer:
My best attribute is that I’m good at knocking people out! My worst is that sometimes I can be a bit too nice.
Training tip:
Take nothing for granted and train for every fight like it’s a world title fight.
Favourite meal/restaurant:
It’s Nando’s for me.
Best friends in boxing:
My sparring gloves are my best friends!
Other sportsperson you would like to be:
Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s one of the best football players ever.
Last film/TV show you saw:
I’ve recently been watching Money Heist on Netflix.
Who would play you in a film of your life:
It’s got to be Clint Eastwood!
Have you ever been starstruck:
I’ve never really been starstruck, although I did meet Adam Sandler one day. He was just casually walking down the street in L.A.
Last time you cried:
It was probably when I was born!
Best advice received:
Keep your hands up, punch hard and don’t get hit.
Worst rumour about yourself:
Ryan Garcia tried to say that he beat me up in sparring, which is totally untrue. I beat him all around the ring.
Something not many people know about you:
I’m a big fan of Liverpool FC. I try to get to a game whenever I have the chance.
