Jane Couch (Women’s boxing pioneer)
Lucia Rijker. She had so much skill and power. She didn’t just have the skill of a man; she had the power of a man. You’ll never see another Lucia Rijker. She was technically brilliant. I remember seeing her spar Mexican men in an LA gym and she was knocking them out.
Nicola Hopewell (Super-flyweight prospect)
I think Katie Taylor is the best female boxer of all time. She’s a great role model and inspiration to all. Creating history against Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden will be remembered as both one of the best female fights ever and something for all up and coming female boxers to look up to.
Chantelle Cameron (WBC and IBF super-lightweight champion)
I’d go for Amanda Serrano. I really like her style. She’s aggressive, she’s entertaining, and she was involved in one of the best female fights of all time against Katie Taylor earlier this year.
Amy Timlin (European super-bantamweight title challenger)
Katie Taylor. When you think of women’s boxing, the name Katie Taylor immediately comes to mind. She has inspired a whole generation of women.
