Queensberry Polska promotes a show in Lublin (Poland) on March 6. Headlining the bill is Polish-British light heavyweight Pawel August (12-0). As for the opponent it’s still not clear yet.
On the undercard French amateur star Sofiane Oumiha makes his long awaited pro debut. Oumiha won bronze in the Olympics 2016 and became amateur world champion in 2017. He will campaign at lightweight.
Don’t look at boxrec for results though as they don’t recognize the Polish Federation that sanctions these shows.
Not much action in Europe this weekend and that’s mainly due to COVID-19. However Bruno Surace (17-0-2) won the vacant French middleweight with a win over Diego Natchoo (21-3-4) in Charleville-Mezieres Saturday night. Surace won on scores of 98-92 on all cards.
Belgian ONLY O1NE Boxing Management staged the second edition of its Back to Business shows in Brussels featuring mainly local talent. Light heavyweight Steve Elondou Ntere (3-0) outclassed Elvis Smajlovic over eight and won on scores of 80-68 twice and 80-67.
Back to Business III is scheduled for March 20.

The World Boxing Association (WBA) ordered negotiations for the vacant minimumweight championship between Mexico’s Jose Argumedo (23W-4L-1D, 14KOs) and Nicaragua’s Byron Rojas (27W-4L-3D, 11 KOs).
The World Championships Committee notified both teams that they must initiate the 30-day process to reach an agreement, according to rule C.28 of the Championships Rules. The period started on January 20th and will close on February 19th, 2021 (-5 GMT).
As required by the rule, Argumedo, WBA #1 at 105 pounds must fight Rojas, WBA #2, for the vacant belt.
The Championships Committee may call to purse bids if the teams do not reach an agreement within the established time, while the distribution of the purse will be 50% for each party as established by WBA rule D.19
