Former world champion Felix Sturm (41-5-3) takes on young upstart James Kraft (19-0-1) on Universum’s show June 19 in Hamburg. This is effectively an eliminator between stablemates and a solid matchup between a veteran and a prospect.
Sturm returned to action late last year after over four years out and beat Timo Rost. There were then talks of a big all-German matchup against the likes of Vincent Feigenbutz or Juergen Braehmer but they didn’t materialize. As for Kraft he joined Universum after beginning his pro career with Petko’s Box Promotion.
In the co-feature big Cuban heavyweight Jose Larduet (5-0) is in against Hussein Muhamed (16-0) with the WBC International Silver heavyweight title at stake and there’s more to come.
Former EBU heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel (22-2 or 20-0 take your pick) and light heavyweight Adam Fress (12-0) headline a SES show in Magdeburg June 5. Opponents for both are to be announced.
The event goes ahead outdoors at the Elbauenpark.
Kabayel was signed up by Top Rank (with SES still on as co-promoter) in 2019 but has yet to make his US debut. He won the EBU title in 2017 and defended the title three times and that includes a win over Dereck Chisora.

Italy-based Romanian Dragan Lepei (19-3-2) fights Germany-based Cuban William Scull (16-0) on May 28 in Berlin, Germany, on AGON Sports big show at their own arena.
Scull thus makes the first defense of the IBO International super middleweight title. Lepei was quite unheralded when he fought French star Mathieu Bauderlique (then 12-0) in 2017 but stopped his opponent in the first round.
