In the immediate aftermath of Brandon Figueroa’s stoppage win over Luis Nery, fellow titleholder Stephen Fulton shares his immediate reaction to the fight and says he’s ready to unify, confident that he’ll put on a knockout performance over Figueroa when the two meet Sept. 11 on Showtime.

Fulton on Figueroa’s win over Nery

“It’s what I expected and it’s what I said. I told y’all Brandon will pull the fight out. To me it was an okay performance because they both was wild and sloppy. It was inaccurate punches, they both had bruises all over their faces and was missing a majority of the punches.”

On now facing Figueroa himself

“I expect me to come out victorious. I will be the one doing the knocking out this time. I’m gonna show y’all something else that’s different in my arsenal this time. I showed y’all I can box, I showed y’all I can brawl in my last fight, now I got to show y’all (the knockout).”
