Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant have hit Las Vegas ahead of Saturday’s Showtime pay-per-view main event, which will see the first undisputed super middleweight champion in the four-belt era crowned.
“It means a lot to me to win this fight for my legacy,” said Canelo. “That’s why we are here. He’s a good fighter with a lot of skills, but that’s nothing new for me. Saturday night, I’m going to make history.”
“I’ve dedicated my life to this sport,” said Plant. “I’ve sacrificed a lot. We’re happy to be here, but we’re not just happy to be here. We are here to win those belts and become the first undisputed super middleweight champion of all time.”
Canelo (56-1-2, 38 KO) will defend his WBC, WBA, and WBO titles, while Plant (21-0, 12 KO) will be defending the IBF belt in the 12-round PPV main event. Canelo is a heavy favorite right now, with DraftKings listing him at -1000 at the moment, which isn’t expected to change a whole lot by this weekend, but could move a bit with late money.
Bad Left Hook will have full live coverage for the show starting at 9 pm ET on Saturday, November 6. Here are some photos from the Grand Arrivals on Tuesday:
