THE crowd capacity at Wembley stadium for the Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte world heavyweight championship fight on April 23 has been increased to 94,000, breaking recent records for British stadium fights.

It’s a mark of Tyson Fury’s drawing power to fill a UK stadium in this way, especially when Dillian Whyte didn’t even attend the announcement press conference.

“I am delighted we are now able to provide four thousand extra tickets for fans to watch the biggest boxing event staged in this country. I know this in no way gets near to meeting the huge demand, but we were determined to have as many fans as possible attend Tyson Fury’s big homecoming fight,” said promoter Frank Warren, who is staging the event in association with Top Rank. “I would like to extend my thanks to Brent Council for making this possible, along with our event partners at Wembley Stadium, and on April 23 Wembley and the borough of Brent will be beamed across the world.”

The price for the UK pay-per-view has been set at £24.95. BT Sport Box Office will televise.

The Fury-Whyte undercard was also unveiled on Tuesday. Isaac Lowe boxes unbeaten featherweight Nick Ball. Anthony Cacace takes on Jonathan Romero.

Heavyweights will also be on the bill with Tyson’s cousin Tommy Fury going in with Daniel Bocianski, a Pole with a winning record, and Daniel Adeleye boxing Chris Healey.

Light-heavy prospect Karol Itauma boxes Michael Ciach and Royston Barney-Smith has his second pro contest against Michael Walton, while featherweight prospect Kurt Walker gets a run out.
