Team USA’s path to gold at the 2022 USA Boxing International Invitational, which is set to begin tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. MT in Pueblo, Colo., is known as the brackets have been drawn. Full brackets can be found here.
Light welterweight Emilio Garcia (Laredo, Texas) will kick things off for the Americans in the opening bout of the competition against Puerto Rico’s Dennis Caban.
Jonathan Mansour (San Diego, Calif.) and Vershaun Lee (Rock Island, Ill.) will take to the ring in bouts three and four during the day’s first session against China’s Mingke Fu and Azerbaijan’s Malik Hasanov, respectively.
Welterweight Morelle McCane (Cleveland, Ohio) will be the final member of Team USA to take to the ring in the fifth bout against Stefanie Von Berge of Germany, two-time European Champion.
The second session, which begins at 5:00 p.m. MT, will see featherweight Julius Ballo (San Diego, Calif.) be the first member of Team USA during the second bout of the session against Puerto Rico’s Keith Colon.
Light middleweight Quincey Williams (Washington, D.C.) will take to the ring in the fifth bout of the session with German Deniel Krotter, while Amelia Moore (Colorado Springs, Colo.) will close out the session in the night’s final bout against Zichun Xu of China.
The event, which features boxers from six different countries, as well as the United States, will run until Thursday, and includes numerous Continental, World and Olympic medalist, and is free to the public.
