On this video I talk all about the high guard in boxing. Lots of fighters have success with using the “high guard.” My favorites were Winky Wright and Arthur Abraham, to name a couple who where well known for this style in boxing. They had a ton of success with it.
In America they call this the Peekaboo Guard, as your peeking-from behind your hands.
And people who have never been in the ring but see this guard may think it’s the best guard to have, after all your covering your face and body, not being hit, so what’s wrong with it?
