Pulev see flaws in Joshua, plans to torpedo Joshua-Fury

As Kubrat Pulev nears this weekend’s meeting date with unified heavyweight titleholder Anthony Joshua, Pulev continues to express extreme confidence in himself as he believes he ultimately be the one who stands in the way of an undisputed title fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Pulev tells RingTV he’s spotted holes in Joshua’s game which he plans to take full advantage of on Saturday — and it doesn’t hurt that he’s feeling in tip-top form.

“We see a lot of mistakes from Anthony,” said Pulev. “A lot of bad sides to him. I think these mistakes, and the bad sides, stay. The most important thing is how I perform on Saturday night. When I am good, I beat him well. Right now I feel very good, strong and powerful. I am very strong heading into this fight.”

Pulev, who has previously come up short in a title opportunity against Wladimir Klitschko in 2014, emphasizes that he’s learned a lot from that experience and will look to bring those lessons learned to bear here in this shot against Joshua. And should he pull it off, it’ll be Pulev who has Fury in his crosshairs.

“I feel healthy and happy. I have a lot of energy. After the fight and after the win, I will be really happy. I think after this fight I’m going to fight with Tyson Fury. It will be good. I don’t believe that the Joshua vs. Fury fight is going to happen because I will win on Saturday night. I think the world needs a new World Champion like me. I am the new World Champion. I am coming.”

At 39-years-old, this could well prove to be Pulev’s last shot at a world title.
