Those of you in the mood for an appetizer this Saturday are in luck. UFC Fight Pass is set to stream a trio of bouts from South Africa beginning at 12:15 PM Eastern.
The main attraction is top-ranked IBF cruiserweight contender (and #3 WBC bridgerweight contender) Kevin “Two Guns” Lerena (25-1, 12 KO), whom I cannot help but associate with Arthur “Two Sheds” Jackson. The 28-year-old has beaten a number of familiar names, including Youri Kalembri Kalenga and Dmytro Kucher, but gets a softball in Patrick Ferguson (17-2-1, 13 KO).
“It’s an honor for me to have my fight streamed by UFC FIGHT PASS® in the United States and around the world,” said Lerena. “I’m thrilled to now be co-promoted by Lou DiBella alongside my loyal promoter Rodney Berman.”
“I’m excited about Saturday’s fight,” continued Lerena. “I know that Ferguson will be prepared, but he will soon realize that I am on another level than him. I am determined to defend my title and I look forward to what the future will bring with DiBella Entertainment and Golden Gloves guiding my career.”
The broadcast will also see rising welterweight Jabulani Makhense (10-0, 5 KO) defend his WBA trinket against Mardochee Kuvesa Katembo (13-3-1, 0 KO) and super welterweight Roarke Knapp (10-1-1, 8 KO) face Simon Dladla (6-0, 5 KO)
