Khabib’s Manager Says They Received Huge Offer To Box Mayweather

According to Ali Abdelaziz, manager of retired UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov, his client was offered $100 million to have a boxing match with former division world champion Floyd Mayweather.

Abdelaziz indicates that UFC president Dana White was on board with the fight.

Mayweather retired from boxing in August of 2017, after stopping UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor in ten rounds at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather, 43-years-old, has since taken part in an exhibition fight in Japan, in December 2018, when he demolished kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in one round.

The 50-0 boxer is now scheduled to face Youtube star Logan Paul on February 20th, in an exhibition fight on pay-per-view.

Khabib retired last year from mixed martial arts and appears to have no plans to go back on that decision.

Abdelaziz explains that even for a tremendous amount of money, the fight is dangerous with Khabib having no professional boxing experience.

“Listen, we got offered $100 million to fight Floyd Mayweather. Dana White was on board, everybody was on board. But, you know, Khabib is an MMA fighter. If Floyd wanted to come to fight [in MMA], get his little ass whooped, no problem,” Abdelaziz told TMZ.

Back in October, the 32-year-old Khabib (29-0) had discussed the numerous offers that came his way, from various countries, to fight Mayweather in a boxing match.

“Always, like every month people call me and they ask me, ‘You going to fight with Floyd Mayweather if we pay you $100 million.’ It’s like crazy. I want to be focused on Justin Gaethje, please. Every month, some people from Saudi Arabia, from Emirates, from a lot of countries, like always try to make contract with me,” Khabib told Yahoo Sports.
