SHO, 9:00 pm ET, ShoBox: The New Generation. This was originally meant to be a quadrupleheader, but a lot of ShoBox cards are meant to be quadrupleheaders, and rarely make it all the way there. The original main event between Patrick Cora and Hurshidbek Normatov is off, and neither of them are on the card still, so the new main event is a 10-round junior welterweight fight between Yeis Gabriel Solano and Mykquan Williams. Is it great? No. But I’m just glad to have some damn fights again after almost three weeks with nothing. BLH will have live coverage.
SHO, 9:00 pm ET, Angelo Leo vs Stephen Fulton Jr, Raeese Aleem vs Vic Pasillas, Rolando Romero vs Justin Pauldo. Leo-Fulton was originally meant to happen last August for the vacant WBO belt at 122 pounds, but Fulton had to pull out and Leo beat Tramaine Williams for the belt instead. Leo-Fulton was a good matchup then and it’s a good matchup now, two young guys who might match up nicely in terms of ability. Aleem-Pasillas could be a fun one; Pasillas isn’t going to thrash everyone the way he did his last opponent, so it’ll be interesting to see how he looks if the opposition gets stronger. Romero got a gift interim belt his last time out, and the rematch with Jackson Marinez that the WBA said they’d “explore” is not going to happen, which is no surprise to anybody. Pauldo is a fine opponent for where Romero actually is in his career, though. BLH will have live coverage.
