Senator Manny Pacquiao is expected to be back in the ring before long as Pacquiao himself has come out to announce that training camp for his next bout is underway. The 42-year-old legend posted on Twitter today that he’s not done adding to his lengthy resume in the sport of boxing.
Training camp has begun. I’m ready to get back in the ring and to further add to my legacy in the sport of boxing. Big news coming soon. @ParadigmSports @AudieAttar

Most recently Pacquiao’s name had been attached to rising lightweight star Ryan Garcia, which really came out of nowhere all things considered. But despite those talks making headlines, the proposed bout was summarily dismissed by Garcia’s Golden Boy promoter who said the fight’s not happening. Garcia’s trainer Eddy Reynoso also isn’t big on that matchup either, so we can probably dismiss that idea for now.
As of now there’s still no official word on who Pacquiao’s targeting as his next opponent. Pacquiao had been keen on staging a boxing match against UFC’s Conor McGregor, but after McGregor’s recent knockout loss that pretty much blew those plans to hell. So perhaps Pacquiao will instead have to face another professional boxer. Who do you think Pacquiao should match-up against?
