The 44-year-old Cunningham (30-9-1, 13 KO) hadn’t fought since 2017 and was in as a late replacement for Antonio Tarver, who couldn’t get licensed in Georgia. He didn’t really have any trouble with Mir, who was making his pro boxing debut, winning on scores of 58-56, 60-54, and 60-54. Cunningham didn’t exactly seem to be trying his best here, in all honesty, but Mir deserves plenty of credit for being tough and doing the best you could have expected of him.

Bad Left Hook scored the fight 59-55 for Cunningham, for whatever it’s worth.

It’s really unlikely this launches any sort of legitimate comeback bid for Cunningham, but I suppose you never know. He doesn’t have a win over a good opponent since 2014, though, if you count his heavyweight victory over Amir Mansour, who was a solid fighter, and he’s an old guy who seemed pretty well retired. But he got a check and was in great shape, put in a decent performance.
