Former IBO light heavyweight champ Robin Krasniqi (51-7) and his team have filed an official protest to the IBO in regards to the outcome of his fight against Dominic Boesel (32-2) October 9 in Magdeburg. Boesel won a close, split decision after a close, tough, exciting fight.
Krasniqi feels he was robbed, but unless there is a formal mistake in the scoring the protest isn’t likely to get far.
Former light heavyweight champ Henry Maske was co-commentator for ARD and scored it a draw and I had Boesel up at 115-113. With many rounds difficult to score it could have gone the other way but it was no robbery.
With the score at 1-1 after two fights between these two stablemates a third fight seems likely and promoter Ulf Steinforth told BILD he’s willing to do it but Boesel said his next fight wouldn’t be against Krasniqi.
