Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas – Rising welterweight Jesus Ramos (18-0, 15 KOs) continued his march with an impressive stoppage of Vladimir Hernandez (13-5, 6 KOs) in the sixth round.
After Ramos was handling himself well in the first round, Hernandez really picked things up in the second and third with a heavy workrate and was digging to the body. Ramos was picking his spots and letting his hands go, but Hernandez was able to take the punches and kept coming.
During the sixth round, Ramos rocked Hernandez badly with a left hand. Ramos then went for the kill with numerous hard punches connecting to the head and body. As Hernandez was being tagged against the ropes, the referee jumped in to wave off the fight.
