In the main event, super middleweight Vladimir Shishkin will look to stay unbeaten as he takes on Mexican veteran Oscar Riojas in a 10-round fight. The 29-year-old Russian Shishkin, now based in Detroit, is hoping to get into contention at 168 sooner than later, having turned pro in 2016. This fight’s really a sideways step at best for him in terms of competition, at least on paper, but fighters need to fight right now, and a bout with the 36-year-old Riojas will serve to get Shishkin active.
30-year-old middleweight Timur Kerefov, another Russia-to-Detroit fighter, will also be in action against Calvin Metcalf and his legendary hairdo in an eight-round bout.
