Williams-Robinson leads Queensberry tripleheader on Oct. 10

Frank Warren has a new card officially set for Oct. 10 on ESPN+ and BT Sport, with a trio of domestic title fights ready to go in the BT Sport Studio.

In the main event, Liam Williams (22-2-1, 17 KO) will defend the British middleweight title against Andrew Robinson (24-4-1, 7 KO). Williams, 28, has looked destructive since moving up to 160 in 2018, with stoppage wins over Mark Heffron, Joe Mullender, Karim Achour, and Alantez Fox. He was hoping to get a fight with WBO middleweight titlist Demetrius Andrade, but travel restrictions and everything aren’t doing anyone any favors at the moment, so if that happens, it’ll have to wait a bit longer. (It probably also doesn’t help that Andrade is promoted by Eddie Hearn.)

Robinson, 35, frankly does not figure to be any trouble for Williams. He was stopped in six by Heffron in 2018, but he did end the long and mildly ridiculous unbeaten streak of Damian Jonak in 2019.

The British featherweight title will also be on the line, as Anthony Cacace (18-1, 7 KO) will defend against Lyon Woodstock (12-2, 5 KO). The 27-year-old Woodstock has lost two of his last three, dropping decisions against Archie Sharp and Zelfa Barrett, while Cacace has won three straight following a 2017 loss to Martin J. Ward. In Cacace’s last bout, he took the British belt from Sam Bowen in Nov. 2019.

The third of title bouts will see JJ Metcalf (21-0, 13 KO) defend the Commonwealth middleweight title against Jack Flatley (16-1-1, 4 KO). Metcalf, 32, won the vacant belt against Jason Welborn in June 2019, and this will be his first defense. The 25-year-old Flatley lost to Harry Scarff in Sept. 2019, and has mostly fought on small hall shows in his career.
