Ryan Garcia Confident: I’m 100% Sure That I’ll Stop Campbell in Three

Undefeated lightweight contender Ryan Garcia is confident in his ability to close the show early, when he returns on January 2nd against Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell, with the interim-WBC world title at stake.

The winner of the contest will be in line to face world champion Devin Haney, who recently returned to the ring with a lopsided decision win over Yuriorkis Gamboa.

The fight was scheduled to take place next month, but it was postponed due to Campbell being diagnosed with COVID-19.

In his last two fights, Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) knocked out his opponents in barely a round of action. And his opponent prior to those, was able to last only two rounds.

Campbell has far more experience, with past opponents including Vasiliy Lomachenko, Jorge Linares, Argenis Mendez and others.

Despite the split in their level of experience, Garcia aims to make a big statement and feels very confident that he’ll stop Campbell in three rounds or less.

“I know I’m going to beat Luke Campbell and knock him out within three rounds. I’m 100% sure of that,” Garcia stated during an episode of Cold As Balls from Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud.

“This fight is going to be the biggest fight of my life so far. This is going to put me on that level where I get that respect. I think this fight will solidify me as one of the best in the world right now.

“I know I’m going to beat Luke Campbell and knock him out within three rounds, and I’m very, very, very sure of that – 100 percent sure.”
