What should Anthony Joshua do if he has to wait for the Oleksandr Usyk rematch?

Anthony Joshua should fight maybe Joe Joyce in an all-British affair, which would be an interesting one for the fans.

Another southpaw; somebody tough but beatable. Luis Ortiz would be good, he’s tough, slick, he’s going to be slow, he’ll give you the southpaw movement that you need. And he’s still a big name. Get to grips with his new training team, the southpaw style and then move into the Usyk fight which is still a big mountain to climb.

Who is there that’s got anything that will prepare him for Usyk? You would think that it would make sense to go in against a southpaw. Perhaps Luis Ortiz or Otto Wallin. Ortiz, you’re always going to get criticism because he’s 140 years old but he’s also recognised as a dangerman. They definitely need to get a southpaw.

He should fight a southpaw because, although you can’t possibly find an opponent to replicate Usyk, doing that at least will provide some kind of useful preparation for the rematch. So you’d be looking at Luis Ortiz or Otto Wallin. I’d go for Ortiz.
